HB-80 Polyisobutylene for Roofing Membrane

Polyisobutylene is used as a sealant component in the construction industry with excellent barrier and low thermal conductivity properties.

Weatherability, combined with maximum moisture protection and elasticity at low temperatures, make polyisobutylene particularly valuable for membranes used in flat roofs.

PIB can be made into elastic waterproof coil, waterproof film, waterproof paint, coating material, and sealing materials such as oil paste, cement, water stop belt. These products have the characteristics of high tensile strength, large elasticity and elongation, adhesion, water resistance and good weather resistance, can be used cold, long service life. It can also be used for composite lining (tunnel lining divided into internal and external two layers successively) waterproof layer in the middle of two layers of lining.

If polyisobutylene is mixed with asphalt adhesives, water repellents, engineering sealants and electronic insulation products, the scalability and cold resistance of the product will be greatly changed. It can improve the heat resistance, load resistance, skid resistance and crack resistance of asphalt pavement. In the use of roof paint, the use of polyisobutylene will increase the low weather resistance and the performance of the product at low temperature will also be greatly changed.
